Department of Energy Article on Partnership with ClimateMaster

The Energy Department's Oak Ridge National Laboratory has partnered with ClimateMaster to develop a more efficient ground-source integrated heat pump.

Based on field tests and analysis, the ClimateMaster's new Trilogy 40 Q-Mode™ could save about 60% of annual energy use and cost for space conditioning and water heating in residential applications compared to new minimum efficiency conventional systems. Also, it’s about 30% more efficient than any other available ground-source heat pump.

ClimateMaster is Winner in ACHR News 2011 Dealer Design Awards

ClimateMaster was recognized for excellence in product design in the 8th annual Dealer Design Awards Program sponsored by The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News magazine.

An independent panel of 30 contractors acted as judges in the contest that had 127 entries from over 80 different brands. The company’s Tanquility 22 Digital Series was the Gold winner in the HVAC High Efficiency Residential Equipment. Annual Geo Farm Training Event set for August

Geo Day Workshop to be held at Comfortech

ClimateMaster will be hosting a geothermal training at the HVAC Comfortech show in Indianapolis, IN, on Sept. 21st, 2011.

Geo Day is an all-day workshop that is designed to educate on all aspects of geothermal technology.

“We are very excited to be hosting such an educational and informative event at HVAC Comfortech show” said John Bailey, Senior Vice President of ClimateMaster, Inc. “These field events create the best learning environment for geothermal heat pump installations.”

The morning classroom sessions will cover a variety of topics such as the features and benefits of geo for consumers and dealers, ClimateMaster products and software programs to determine energy savings and return on investment.

Also covered will be “How to Sell Geo” to your customers. The afternoon session will be held on location where there will be a live demonstration of a loop installation.

At this location an entire ClimateMaster geothermal system will be installed. At the end of the day, attendees will have an excellent understanding of various loop designs, equipment installation, and software support that exists for geothermal.

We are pleased to announce our new Tranquility Cased Coil (TAC). The Tranquility Cased Coils have the highest efficiency ratings of any geothermal split system in the industry when matched with ClimateMaster Tranquility indoor or outdoor units.

Tranquility Cased Coils are specifically designed and matched for use with Tranquility indoor and outdoor geothermal split units. All TAC Cased Coils are AHRI matched and rated with TTP and TTS products.

This series is available in four capacities- 026, 038, 049, & 064 and is fully convertible for vertical upflow or downflow, and horizontal left or horizontal right airflow. New Marketing Materials

ClimateMaster is excited to announce several new marketing pieces available to help you promote your business and the sale of geothermal heat pumps.

We are continuing our national advertising campaign in several publications to build not only the ClimateMaster brand name but also raise the awareness of geothermal heating and cooling. Using both 2 page spread ads and single page ads, we will advertise in well known publications such as: Good Housekeeping, Time Magazine, National Geographic, Sports Illustrated. Popular Mechanics, Better Homes and Gardens, Money, Popular Science, Newsweek and many others. This advertising represents a large investment in our business and will help to set ClimateMaster apart as the leader in the geothermal industry. As a component of the national advertising campaign, we will also have a 24hr call center to answer questions generated by this advertising. The center will answer general questions regarding geothermal installations and the advantages of such systems then refer homeowners to a local dealer for more information. The leads to the dealer will also get sent to their distributor as well as ClimateMaster. This will allow the distributor an opportunity to follow up on these leads and allow ClimateMaster to track leads to ensure potential customers receive the information they need to make informed decisions about geothermal.


 

We have also developed a new single page brochure to aid the call center and for use in various home shows around the country. Developed as a general informative piece to explain in broad simple terms how geothermal systems function, this brochure will become key in your initial contacts to drive further interest of geothermal heat pumps. We are also developing a new series of product brochures. The first brochure to be completed is the Tranquility packaged series highlighting the Tranquility 27® (TT) and Tranquility 20 (TS) products. This new 12-page brochure highlights the advantages of geothermal and promotes the features of our product with a minimum of technical language to inform consumers without sounding overly complicated. We are working to complete other brochures for the Tranquility Split Systems as well as the Water-to-Water series; be looking for other new brochure announcements soon.

We have developed three new radio spots for your use. These pre-recorded spots are 60 or 45 seconds and will allow a dealer specific tag to be placed at the end of the commercial.

We would also like to remind everyone of the revised logo that must be used on all advertising material. Initially announced at the residential Distributor meeting, we have had some questions lately regarding which logo to use. The logos shown one the logos page are the only acceptable logos for use in residential advertising. It can be used with or without the tagline however if the tag line is used, it must be “Geothermal Heat Pump Systems” as shown below. Please ensure any new advertising you place utilizes one of these logos.
